Logo Design for The Developmental Journey
The challenge? Creating a logo that captured the blend of creativity, communication, and evidence-based practice that defines The Developmental Journey.
- Concept 1: A text-based design enclosed in a box, representing a continual journey. A paint swatch doubled as a speech bubble. This symbolizes communication and a nod to their out-of-the-box thinking.
- Concept 2: Elements like a pencil, paintbrush, and magnifying glass highlighted their creative, evidence-based approach. The fluid swipe below these objects represent the journey.
- Concept 3: A matchstick combining art and science. A spark of creativity and the balance of strengths and challenges.
Our favorite: Concept 3. However, the client chose Concept 1 as it embraced simplicity and clarity. And truthfully, they were right. It perfectly aligned with The Developmental Journey’s ethos of thoughtful communication and innovative methods.
Logo Design for Media-77
Media-77 needed a rebrand that captured their adaptability. They also had a desire to move away from the dark tones of their original design. Their previous logo, inspired by the I-77 highway and a film clapper, felt dated and overly niche.
- Concept 1: A graphic, paint-splat design retaining the highway motif but adding modern, creative flair.
- Concept 2: A camera apertures reimagined the logo with a minimalist, approachable tone.
- Concept 3: A play button and paint style highlight the film heritage in a modern, graphic style.
The winning design was concept 2. This nod to their roots combined with a fresh look positions Media-77 as a creative powerhouse adaptable to any industry.
Logo Design for Wilco Therapist
Wilco Therapist needed a logo that spoke to growth, connection, and the authentic approach they bring to therapy.
- Concept 1: Abstract half-circles representing brain hemispheres and microcurrent therapy.
- Concept 2: A hand-drawn street map symbolizing the journey of growth and overcoming trauma.
- Concept 3: Tetris-inspired blocks that also resembled a seated figure, representing building blocks for growth and connection.
This was another example where we were really hoping the client went with concept 2. However, Concept 3 struck the perfect balance of hand drawn simplicity and heft. Simple yet deeply symbolic, with a human-centered touch that aligns with their therapeutic approach. Once again, the client was right. Concept 3 was the right choice. We’re always happy to be wrong in this process.
Logo Design for A Path Forward
A Path Forward wanted a logo that moved beyond the cliché puzzle pieces often associated with ABA therapy, emphasizing individuality and growth.
- Concept 1: Stained-glass imagery representing “Charting the course for new possibilities.”
- Concept 2: A thumbprint evolving into tree branches, inspired by “Nurturing Strong Roots.”
- Concept 3: An alternative take on trees and pathways for clear growth.
The stained-glass design of Concept 1 stood out as a unique and powerful representation of their mission, offering a fresh perspective while retaining familiarity.
